Google My Business posts are a feature that allow business owners and managers to share announcements, offers, events, products, and updates about their business that display in Google Search and Maps. Posts can contain up to 1500 characters of text and up to 10 photos or videos.

Add keywords to your Google My Business Description. This is the easiest way to improve relevance. Put keywords in your Google Business Profile Posts—as explained by Google, “You can connect with existing and potential customers through your Business Profile on Google Search and Maps through posts.” And, “Posts can include text, photos, or videos to promote Business Profiles.” You can create three main types of posts: Offers, What’s New, and Events. Add keywords to the content for any of these posts to attract the right customers to your business, and make sure you change them when keyword relevance changes to keep your results up. Don’t post anything off-topic or irrelevant just to add keywords, though, to stay compliant with Google’s content policy. Get customers to put keywords in your reviews—this method of getting keywords associated with your business is underestimated for how powerful it is. Add keywords in your Business Q&A Section—this is another great spot for keywords. When a customer asks a question on your page, make sure you insert keywords into your answers, but once again don’t go overboard. Don’t add keywords to your Google Business Name—keyword stuffing (adding descriptors to your business name that are not part of the business’ legal name) in your business name can get your listing penalized or suspended.
